A thought-provoking speech that is relatable to skilled nursing, memory care, and assisted living providers. This speech represents a strong voice from the family perspective.
  2. Alzheimer’s subconscious awakening program”. Learn the ASAP Program”. The program combines habilitative care with sensory influencers that allow Alzheimer’s patients to experience feelings and emotions that positively affect their behavior and ultimately their quality of life. “ASAP” is driven by the caregivers. Optimizing communication, engagement, approach, environment, and positive influencers create the perfect connection between the caregiver and the patient. As the caregiver creates an optimized atmosphere, they cannot help but feel optimized, which certainly translates to the Alzheiemr’s patient. This is a treatment program 
  3. “Why memory care isn’t working, but, here’s what does”.  The community of memory care facilities has 6 common challenges that impact the delivery of quality care for Alzheimer’s patients. Identifying the challenges uncovers the root causes which identifies the solutions. With the need for increased memory care communities nationwide,  comes the necessity for aggressive proactive procedures that are able to be sustained over time. The participants will view their challenges through an objective lens which enables practicable knowledge to implement monitoring and management of issues as they arise.

  1. “What to do when you promised you would never put them in a nursing home”, Now what?  Nursing home consideration for a loved one is one of the most quilt ridden, fearful decissions someone can make. When you are acting in the best interest of your loved one, it is difficult to reconcile nursing home placement. This presentation is full of facts, considerations, and discussions about the common myths associated with nursing homes. The objective is to ensure the participants are well informed and leave with a comfortable foundation to make important choices.
  2. “Providing a positive emotional journey for you and your loved one with Alzheimer’s”. The Alzheimer’s person has an innate ability to continue having feelings and emotions, in spite of losing declarative memory. This presentation describes tools and activities that enable the caregiver or family to create positive feelings within their loved one. Methods discussed have been researched and proven to be a true treatment for Alzheimer’s patients.  In addition, the caregivers and families will have the tools necessary to not only create an optimistic atmosphere for their loved one, but also for themselves.
  3. “Learning to perform a basic health assessment”.When you are faced with delivering care to a loved one,  and you are not a medical professional, the task can become uncertain and fearful.  Regardless of family training from the Providers, the reality of circumstances and the multitude of questions associated become unsurmountable. This is a training session, where the participants learn to obtain vital signs and perform a general body assessment in order to make informed decisions. Participants will learn when it is time to call the Physcian or 911. The session leaves time for questions and answers.
